After losing the family farm to the bank in 1930’s Oklahoma, Sunny and her family journey East for a new start among the green hills of North Carolina. Just when she thinks their new home is theirs and theirs alone, Sunny discovers her and her friend Tempie’s daddies have been up to something; something that could mean the end for their new life and put them back on the road.
